Alvin M. Alston

When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be; when we all see Jesus, we will sing and shout the victory.  With compassion, R. H. Greene is serving the loved ones of Mrs. Alvin Alston, age 89 of Macon, North Carolina.  Mrs. Alston transitioned on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at her residence.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Pleasant Zion Baptist Church in Littleton, North Carolina.  The Reverend Clinton Boyd, Pastor will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by:  

three children, Napoleon Alston (Marguerite) and Tobaitha Alston Smith, both of Macon, North Carolina and Christine Alston of Towson, Maryland; six grandchildren, J. Quentine Butler, Jr., Christopher Alston, Naphis Alston, Jeanetta Farrah, Yolanda Matthews and Pamela Albright; twelve great-grandchildren, Sahana Lynch-Butler, Namir Alston, Courtland Matthews, Reggie Liverman, Robert Liverman, Leah Matthews, Tia Matthews, Mia Matthews, Larry Lawson, Shawn Jordan and Savannah Albright;; one sister, Carrie Craddox (James) of South Hill, Virginia; one brother, Richard Hopkins (Ann) of Greensboro, North Carolina; two goddaughters, Zenobia Hopkins Brown and Deborah Parson; four special friends, Eartha Pope, Marjorie Lee, Eldora Coley and Mary B. Turner; along with a host of great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  

The family will receive visitors and friends at the home, located at 478 Hubquarter Road, Macon, North Carolina.
