Allen 'Heavy" Brown, Sr.

Some glad morning when this life is over, I will fly away.  With loving hearts, R. H. Greene Funeral Home is offering comfort to the loved ones of Mr. Allen "Heavy" Brown, age 69 of Warrenton, North Carolina.  Mr. Brown transitioned on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at the Duke Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.  

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Spring Green Missionary Baptist Church in Warrenton, North Carolina.  The Reverend Sylvester Hammie, pastor will officiate, the Reverend Kathard Marks will deliver the eulogy.  Interment will follow in the Brown Family Cemetery in Warrenton, North Carolina.

Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by:  his wife, Mary Powell Brown of the home; three children, Eugene Brown (Michelle) of Hollister, North Carolina, Arlene Brown (Kel) and Donald Brown (Vonetta), both of Warrenton, North Carolina; twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren; one sister, Revern Alston of Warrenton, North Carolina; one brother, James Bernard Davis (Michelle) of Henderson, North Carolina; three sisters-in-law, Maggie Hargrove of Warrenton, North Carolina, Justina Sheperd of Henderson, North Carolina and Lula Powell of Macon, North Carolina; one brother-in-law, Walter Powell of Warrenton, North Carolina; his adopted family, Allen Mustain, Gabe Mustain and the Mustain family; special friends, Shelton Williams, Gerald Richardson, Reverend Anthony Carter, Melvin Hanks and Donnell Hawkins; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Mr. Brown will lie in repose on Friday, January 10, 2025 at R. H. Greene Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
