Walter Bullock

Mr. Walter Marvin Bullock, 78, son of the late Joe and Jenny Bullock, was born in Warren County, North Carolina on April 17, 1939. He was called home on December 29, 2017.

Walter was educated in the Warren County public school system.

He accepted Christ as his savior with Oak Level United Church of Christ, where he served as a faithful member until his move to New York where he joined Friendship Baptist Church of Brooklyn, New York.

Walter was employed at Sunny Down, Inc. in Brooklyn, New York as a foreman for over 20 plus year. He also served as a medical transportation driver for Northampton County DSS of Jackson, NC for more than 10 years.

In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, playing his guitar and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

The Funeral Service will be conducted Saturday, January 6, 2018 from the Oak Level United Church of Christ, Manson, NC at 1:00 PM.  The Reverend Herbert Bullock will deliver the eulogy, with interment following in the Coley Spring Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, where the Reverend Carson F. Jones is the Pastor.

He Leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Larry Bullock (Kenya) of Pensacola, Florida, Juanita Vaughn (Rusty) of Bronx, NY, Felicia Bullock of Weldon, NC, Arvel Bullock of Manhattan, NY, Melvin Bullock of Roanoke Rapids, NC,  Darryl Bullock (Angela) of Winston Salem, NC, Shauna Bullock of Roanoke Rapids, NC, and Anthony Hubbard of Red House, VA;  two special nephews whom he loved as sons: Demetrius Hawkins of Roanoke Rapids, NC, and William Hawkins of Pfafftown, NC;  his brother: Reverend Herbert Bullock (Essie) of Henderson, NC;  two sisters: Annie Woods and Lucy Meadows both of Warrenton, NC; twenty-seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Mr. Bullock may be viewed today from 12:00 noon until 7:00 PM,  and at the church one-hour prior to the service.
