Mr. George Linwood Seward, 62, born to the late Robert Seward and Almedia Alexander-Seward, on January 18, 1955 in Warren County, North Carolina.  He entered into eternal rest on December 30, 2017.

He was educated in the Warren County public school system.

Early in his life, he was baptized and became a member of the Burchette Chapel United Church of Christ.

George married Doretha Joyner on August 30, 2008.

He was employed with Harriet & Henderson Textiles for a while, and later moved on to become employed with Glen Raven Mills where he recently retired on July 28, 2017 after seventeen years of dedicated service.

The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 1:00 PM from the Penuel RZUA Church, Boydton, VA.  The Reverend Michael Epps will deliver the Eulogy.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

George leaves to cherish his memory, four children; Alemida “Tootie” Seward of Manson, NC, George Harris of South Hill, VA, Samantha Hunt of Warrenton, NC, and Kimberly Bullock of Ridgeway, NC; his step-children: Natasha Joyner of Richmond, VA and Lanthony Joyner of the home; his grandchildren: Jaleel, Genya, JaQuan, Treshon, Khayla, Jonah, and Imoni’; his siblings: Elizabeth Williams (Joseph) of Littleton, NC, Lula Shearin of Norlina, NC, John “Sonny” Seward of Manson, NC, Robert Seward of Fredericksburg, VA, Jack Seward of Oxford, NC, and Emanuel “Larry” Seward of Henderson, NC; his eight sisters-in-law; and one brother-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Seward may be viewed today in the R. H. Greene Funeral Home Chapel from 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM, and at the church one hour prior to the service.
