Arnita Tooley

Arnita Carroll Alston Tooley, daughter of the late Fred and Effie Alston, was born November 3, 1940 in Passaic, New Jersey.  She entered into eternal rest on December 24, 2019 in Henderson, North Carolina.

She married Donald Tooley in 1958 and from this union, three children were born, Alicia, Adrian and Chiara.  She was a devoted wife and mother and during the years worked for Hoffman La Roche, Newark Beth Israel Hospital and New Jersey Bell.

In the late 1970’s, Arnita was baptized and became a Jehovah’s Witness.  She served faithfully and developed lifelong friendships and relationships.

After retiring from New Jersey Bell, Arnita moved to North Carolina where she faithfully cared for her mother and daughter until their deaths.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her daughter, Chiara Kadinger.

Arnita leaves to cherish her wonderful memory, her daughter, Alicia Roberson; her son, Adrian Tooley; her grandsons, Djuan Kadinger, Tevin Kadinger and Paul Roberson; her granddaughters, Janaia Avery (husband, Torrell), Rae’lle Roberson, Damaris Tooley and Devyn Tooley; her great-granddaughters, Kaleah Avery and Makailah Harris; her great-grandsons, Tayden Avery, Justin Kadinger, Ryan Purvis and Hezekiah Roberson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
