Barnes, age 76 of Nashville, North Carolina. Deacon Barnes transitioned on Sunday, March 10, 2024 in Maryland.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Friday, March 22, 2024 beginning at 9:30 a.m. with visitation and service at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of Mount Jezreel Baptist Church in Silver Spring, Maryland. The Reverend Emmett S. Young, III., will deliver the eulogy and interment will follow in the Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood, Maryland.
Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by: his wife, Patricia Hymon-Barnes of the home; three children, Shalyta, Christina and Emmett; several grandchildren; one sister, Pat Barnes; six sisters-in-law, Ollie Hymon-Burton, Reverend Bertie D. Watson, Hannah Hymon-Bullock, Carolyn H. Jones, Dr. Shirley Hymon-Parker (Gene) and Doris Goode Hymon; his loving congregation of Union Hill Baptist Church in Nashville, North Carolina, members of the Breakfast Club and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
